Ravi Shastri Targeted Rohit Sharma And Team: The major reason for the defeat of the Indian team in the World Test Championship (WTC) final is being attributed to the lack of preparation of the team. After the defeat in the final match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that for such matches, at least 20 to 25 days should be met for preparation. On his statement, former Indian team chief Ravi Shastri sharply criticized and said that all these things depend on the players what they have to choose.
Talking to Star Sports after the defeat in the WTC final, Ravi Shastri said that in today’s time it is not going to happen at all that you can take 20 to 21 days to prepare for a series. This was seen for the last time in the year 2021, when India started preparing for the tour of England 3 weeks in advance. It also benefited us and we were ahead 2-1 in that series.
Shastri further said that this could happen because at that time the IPL was postponed due to Corona. Because of this, we reached England before the scheduled time. We have to live according to today’s time. If we have to prepare for such final matches 20 days in advance, then we will have to leave IPL. But all these things depend on the players. Who has to decide on this.
Coach Rahul Dravid gave statement on busy schedule
After the crushing defeat of Team India, the head coach Rahul Dravid had also told the busy schedule as the main reason for this defeat. According to Dravid, the preparation could have been better if the team had come here three weeks earlier to play a practice match. But we could not do that. However, I am not making any excuse or complaint about this defeat.
