ICC New Rule For T20 Leagues: In the last few years, franchise cricket has been seen growing very fast in world cricket. For this reason, along with many big players, young players are also giving their priority in playing T20 format instead of Test cricket. Many big players have also said goodbye to international cricket ahead of time to concentrate on T20 league. Now the International Cricket Council (ICC) may take a big decision regarding franchise based cricket in the next few months to save the Test format.
Players get a lot of money in franchise cricket and that is why they are now showing more interest in playing it instead of the country. According to the British newspaper The Telegraph, the ICC may bring 2 new rules in the month of July to rein in T20 franchise cricket. With this, international players can be saved from the money given by T20 league teams.
Recently, the England team’s opening Jason Roy terminated his contract with the England team to participate in Major League Cricket (MLC). The 2 rules that the ICC can come up with limit the number of foreign players in the playing 11 and how many foreign players can be in a team can also be included.
