Ranchi News: Chhavi Ranjan, former DC of Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi, was arrested by the Regional Enforcement Directorate (ED) of the district after questioning. Now IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan has been suspended in connection with the alleged land scam. According to sources, Chhavi Ranjan has not been able to answer all the questions of ED properly during interrogation.
On Saturday (May 06), IAS Chhavi Ranjan was presented before the court through video conferencing. During this, it was requested from the ED that Chhavi Ranjan should be allowed to interrogate her on remand for ten days. But the court has approved the remand for only six days.

Chhavi Ranjan appeared in the ED office for the first time on April 24 after summons were issued in the land scam. Please tell that he appeared in the ED office when the third summon was issued by the ED. After this Chhavi Ranjan was called for questioning on 4th May. He was interrogated by the ED for about 10 hours. After this, he was arrested at around 10 pm.

After this, his medical examination was done, in which his health was found to be normal. After medical examination, he was sent to jail for a day. During this, the ED had sought a remand of 10 days from the court. The next day the special court gave 6 days remand to the ED. ED officials will start questioning Chhavi Ranjan from May 7. After questioning on May 12, he will be presented in the special court.
