Hyderabad: AIMIM councillor’s nephew attacked with knife, died in hospital

AIMIM Corporator Nephew Murdered: On Monday, unknown assailants killed an intermediate student by stabbing him in broad daylight in the office of AIMIM Lalita Bagh Mandal Councillor. The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Syed Murtaza Anas. He is said to be the nephew of Division 36 councilor Mohammad Ali Sharif (Azam).

According to media reports, when 22-year-old Syed was in the office, two assailants reached the spot and attacked him with blades. During the attack, unknown people inflicted severe injuries on Murtaza’s neck, which caused a lot of bleeding.

Why was the murder done?

According to sources, property dispute is being told as the reason behind the murder. DCP South Zone Sai Chaitanya visited the spot and gave instructions to the investigators. Sources say that two people have been detained in this case. Police kept the body in the mortuary of Osmania General Hospital for postmortem and a case of murder has been registered.
