Delhi Schools Bomb Threat: Panic spread among parents on Monday morning after 40 schools in Delhi allegedly received a bomb threat through email. Due to threats, schools were immediately evacuated and an emergency response was carried out.

Vipin Batra, one of these parents, said, “I reached the school as soon as I got information about the bomb threat. If the situation continues like this, how will we be able to send our children to school?
‘Instills fear among parents’
Another parent, Anuradha, also expressed similar concerns, saying that she took her child home, but she is still stressed. He said that education is important but such incidents create fear among all parents. Schools should be safe. There was chaos in many schools when parents took their children out of the premises.
Demand for US$30,000
Meanwhile, teachers collected the children at safe places, after which they were allowed to go home with their parents. A parent named Akanksha Soni expressed concern about the long-term impact of such incidents on children. He said that in such a situation how will children be able to concentrate on their studies? A police officer said that on Monday morning, about 40 schools received an email containing a bomb threat and the sender of the email demanded US $ 30,000. Subsequently, several security agencies conducted searches on the school premises but did not find anything suspicious.
The threat was sent through a single e-mail to prominent schools of Delhi, including Delhi Public School (DPS) of RK Puram, GD Goenka of Paschim Vihar, The British School at Chanakyapuri, The Mothers International at Aurobindo Marg, Mandi House Modern School, DPS Vasant Kunj, Delhi Police Public School of Safdarjung, DPS East of Kailash and Salwan Public School. Officials said most of the schools that received threats suspended their classes and sent students back home.
‘Nothing suspicious was found’
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-West) Surendra Chaudhary said that four schools located in his district have also received this (threatening) email. He said, “Immediately after receiving the information, we conducted a thorough investigation of the school premises. Nothing suspicious was found. I request the parents not to panic. A Delhi Fire Service (DFS) official said that the bomb was detonated at 7.06 am from DPS RK Puram and at 6.15 am from GD Goenka, Paschim Vihar. Threatening information received.
The crime branch has started investigation in the case.
He said that fire department officials including dog squad, bomb disposal squad and local police immediately reached the spot and started a search operation in the schools. The Special and Crime Branch of Delhi Police has started investigation in the case. More than 200 schools, hospitals and other important government establishments in Delhi had received similar threats in May, but the matter has not been resolved yet because the mail was sent using a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
