Cyclone Biparjoy: Cyclone Biparjoy is fast moving towards India. According to the Meteorological Department, it is expected to reach the country by June 15. At the same time, it is being said that the storm will show its fiercest form in Gujarat and Maharashtra. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert declaring it in the category of extremely severe cyclonic storm.
The department has ordered fishermen not to venture into the sea. According to the department, people have been evacuated from low-lying areas due to the possibility of maximum impact of the storm in Kutch, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Porbandar, Jamnagar and Morbi districts of Gujarat. In such a situation, along with the state government, the central government is also ready for the storm.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a review meeting regarding the storm. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel informed Amit Shah about the preparations for the storm. Shah assured Patel of all possible help to the Gujarat government. Patel said that the state is ready to deal with any situation. All arrangements for disaster management have been made under the guidance of PM and Home Minister.
4 thousand families were shifted to safe places
Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya also took stock of the situation. The work of evacuating the people living in the low-lying areas of Bhuj to safer places is going on. More than 2 thousand police personnel and more than 14 thousand home guard personnel have been deployed to evacuate people safely. Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi said that a full proof plan is ready for the districts surrounding Dwarka. Due to the storm, 4 thousand families of 44 villages were shifted to safer places.
2500 jawans have been deployed
69 trains have been canceled in view of cyclone ‘Biparjoy’. The movement of 32 trains was stopped for a short time. At the same time, most of the trains in the coastal areas have been canceled for 14 and 15 June. Regarding the storm, the railway official said that the railway is fully prepared to deal with any situation. 2500 RPF personnel have been deployed for surveillance.
In view of Biparjoy, Western Railway has made war rooms. Cyclone Biparjoy can affect Kutch, Porbandar, Dwarka, Rajkot, Junagadh and Morbi more, due to which 17 teams of NDRF and 13 teams of SDRF have been deployed. Seeing the magnitude of the storm, the Kandla port of Kutch was evacuated. At the same time, 1500 to 2000 people were taken to safe places.
