BJP Candidate List For Karnataka: The BJP on Tuesday (March 11) released the first list of 189 candidates for the assembly elections to be held in Karnataka on May 10. Earlier, a meeting was held at the residence of BJP President JP Nadda in which other leaders including Union Ministers Amit Shah, Dharmendra Pradhan and Mansukh Mandaviya attended. After the meeting, Dharmendra Pradhan said that the first list of candidates for Karnataka elections 2023 is being released.
So let’s know how many candidates of which community and how many IAS and IPS have got tickets in this list. In this list of 189 candidates issued by BJP, there are 52 candidates who are new. Party leader Arun Singh has said that in the list of 189 BJP candidates for the Karnataka elections, there are 32 OBC candidates, 30 SC, 16 ST candidates.
Tickets to doctors, IAS and IPS as well
In this list of BJP, 9 doctors, 31 post graduates, 5 lawyers, 3 academics, 1 IAS retired Anil Kumar, 1 IPS Bhaskar Rao, 3 retired officers and 8 women have been given tickets. Whereas, Basavaraj Bommai will contest from Sigao, Balasaheb Patil from Kagwad, Govind Karjol from Mudul and Murgesh Nirani from Bilgi. Dharmendra Pradhan said, “The list of 34 names is still pending. Will be released in the next one or two days. Jagdish Shettar is our big leader, we will be able to convince him. We have talked to him. We are sure that he will be with us.”

Jagdish Shettar asked for ticket
At the same time, the BJP leadership has asked former Karnataka Chief Minister and party leader Jagadish Shettar not to contest the elections, but he termed the decision as unacceptable. He said that my popularity is good in the survey. I have not lost a single election, so I requested the party high command to give me an opportunity to contest.
