Sharadiya Navratri of Ashwin month
This Navratri is very famous and it is celebrated like a big festival across the country. It is celebrated with great fanfare from Pratipada of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month till Navami Tithi. This is called Prakat Navratri. Winter begins with this Navratri. Nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped in this. Dandiya, fairs, girl worship, idol immersion etc. are important in this.
Last and fourth Magh Navratri (Magh Gupt Navratri)
The Navratri that falls in the month of Magh is called Magh Navratri. This is the fourth and last Navratri. This is called Gupta Navratri. In this Navratri, special sadhna is done to get secret achievements. In this, sadhaks attain miraculous powers by pleasing the mother with their sadhna.
