Chaitra or Chaiti Navratri, which falls in the month of Chaitra, is called the first Navratri of the year because the Hindu New Year (Hindu Nav Varsh 2023) begins on the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of the month of Chaitra and Chaitra Navratri also begins from this day. it occurs. That’s why it is the first Navratri of the Hindu New Year. Chaitra Navratri is called Prakat Navratri. In this, nine different forms of Goddess Durga, Durga, Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidatri are worshiped and fasting is observed for the whole 9 days. The worship of Chaitra Navratri is done in a completely sattvik manner.

Significance of Chaitra Navratri: The Navratri that falls in the month of Chaitra has such significance that at this time Goddess Durga comes to earth to visit her maternal home and bless the devotees. That’s why it is also celebrated as a big festival. This year Chaitra Navratri is starting from 22nd March and will end on 30th March. Ashadha Gupta Navratri in the month of Ashadha

This is the second Navratri of the year, which starts from the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Ashadh month. It is called Gupta Navratri because the mother is pleased with Tantra Sadhana for the whole nine days. In this 10 Mahavidyas Kali, Tara, Chinnamasta, Shodashi, Bhuvaneshwari, Tripur Bhairavi, Dhumavati, Baglamukhi, Matangi and Kamla are worshipped.

Sharadiya Navratri of Ashwin month

This Navratri is very famous and it is celebrated like a big festival across the country. It is celebrated with great fanfare from Pratipada of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month till Navami Tithi. This is called Prakat Navratri. Winter begins with this Navratri. Nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped in this. Dandiya, fairs, girl worship, idol immersion etc. are important in this.

Last and fourth Magh Navratri (Magh Gupt Navratri)

The Navratri that falls in the month of Magh is called Magh Navratri. This is the fourth and last Navratri. This is called Gupta Navratri. In this Navratri, special sadhna is done to get secret achievements. In this, sadhaks attain miraculous powers by pleasing the mother with their sadhna.
