Haj 2025: India on Monday signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia regarding this year’s Haj and like last year, this time too a quota of 1,75,025 pilgrims has been fixed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed this agreement between the two countries and said that the government is committed to ensuring a better experience for Indian Haj pilgrims.
Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju signed the agreement with Saudi Arabia’s Hajj and Umrah Minister Taufiq bin Fauzan Al-Rabiah in Jeddah.
Rijiju posted on ‘X’, “Hajj Agreement 2025 signed with Saudi Arabia’s Hajj and Umrah Minister Tawfiq bin Fauzan Al-Rabiah. The quota of 1,75,025 pilgrims from India for Haj-2025 was finalized.

We are committed to providing the best possible services to all our Haj pilgrims.” He said, ”In the meeting with the Saudi Haj and Umrah Minister, we discussed important matters related to Haj-2025 and the best possible services for Indian pilgrims. Considered ways to further improve the experience of Haj pilgrimage. This will also strengthen our bilateral relations.

Last month, in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Rijiju had said that under the quota for the year 2025, 70 percent Haj pilgrims will go through the Haj Committee of India and 30 percent through private tour operators.
