China Village Ground Report: ABP News has taken stock by visiting China border villages. ABP News reached Quilom village of Mengla County, Shishombanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. This area is on the border of Laos and China. Looking at the facilities and methods present here, it seems that China has also included its border villages in its development strategy. From basic facilities to connectivity, special care has been taken.

The ruling Communist Party of China has a hold on these villages. Target boards have been installed by the party in these villages. In which it has been told that what is the goal of the government and the Communist Party regarding the villages of China.

China shares its border with 14 countries. Somewhere there are mountains, somewhere there is desert, somewhere there is plains and somewhere there is sea. Keeping in mind the neighboring country, China has ensured security in its border villages in different ways. For example, the deployment on the border of India is different, then it is different on the border of Russia, similarly the deployment on the border of Myanmar and Laos is also different.

China has good relations with Laos. Being a small country, Laos also depends on China to a great extent. Quilom, a border village between Laos and China, is about 100 kilometers from the city by road.

It takes about two hours to reach this border village from the city. Tunnels, bridges, mountains and rivers are seen on the way to reach the village. The forests have been taken care of while making the roads. Trees have not been cut. Lots of greenery can be seen on both sides. There are no potholes on the road. Cars usually run at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour. Like the expressway of India, the road here also goes till the border.

The ruling Communist Party of China has a big contribution in the work done by the government in the village. This hundred years old party has been in power here for the last many decades and is seen everywhere from the city to the border in some role or the other. A target board of the party has also been set up in Quilom village, on the basis of which work is done.

The people of the village hold meetings in a week

All the houses in Guoliang village were found pucca. 174 people live in the village. These 174 people have a meeting in about a week. The goal of the Communist Party and the government is to make the villages ‘Made in China’ by 2025. The target has been mentioned on the target board in the village. It refers to the economy of the old times. It states that in 2013 the income of this village was Rs 6,766. After that the income of this village changed in the form of Yuan. There is also mention of preparation for change.

Promotion of village products, party’s role in advantages and disadvantages

The products of the village are kept very beautifully decorated. Natural products are prepared. Preparations have been made for the people to have a sense of pride and importance in the products of the village. Arrangements have also been made to deal with the possibility of loss or damage. For this, trees and plants related to various types of fruits etc. are planted, including trees like rubber, orange and dragon fruit, or a new product is prepared. The Communist Party has the first role in anything. This is how the party handles the advantages and disadvantages.

China believes that it will be very difficult to stay in power until there is no change in the village. If there is a change in the village and the income of the people becomes better, then the voice of the opposition will not remain anyway, but if you want to keep yourself as a big power, not only in the nation, but in the whole world, then in the same way, your people should be given economic form. The secretary of the village spoke to ABP News

Luo Yongchai, a local secretary of the Communist Party in a village in Mengla County, said, “We develop our village through the revival of human resources, industry and other campaigns under the leadership of the CPC organization. Before the poverty eradication campaign, the condition of medical care, education and drinking water was not good, but now the situation has improved a lot.

Village woman Yang Jingfeng said, “Our village is getting better. A few years ago the condition of roads and houses was bad. Now you can see the big changes. There is also agriculture industry here which makes the village prosperous.

Train travel from China to Laos

Along with the road leading to the border village, there is also a train facility which takes you directly to Laos. The train is also such that one can go to the neighboring country by showing the passport along with the ticket. Most of the countries in Asia have their own trains in their respective states, but China is such a country, which has run its fast train not only in the country but also in the surrounding countries.

Running at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour, this international fast train connects Laos to China. Because of this train, the time taken to reach Laos from China is less than half as compared to before. This train passes through mountains and tunnels.

Not only from China, but people from many nearby countries also travel in the train. During the train journey, passengers from nearby countries told that it is convenient and economical for them. This train is also a profitable deal for China in the sense that it benefits its business.

There are counters in the train itself for the convenience of eating and drinking, from where goods can be purchased. The train stops at selected stations only. Police also stays with the railway employees. Through this train, China has also fulfilled its objective. By providing world class facilities, loans have also been given to neighboring countries. Small countries benefit from this, but China’s plan is more to create ‘dominance’, in which it is entering very quietly.
