How do children study in Chinese schools, the focus is on vocational studies, know how the education is.

You already know about India’s education system. How is school education free here, even though there are private schools too? But do you know about China’s education system? We tell you. In fact, even in China, elementary education is compulsory. However, after reaching senior secondary, the children’s fees and school expenses have to be paid by the parents or guardians. This is also a big reason why children in rural areas leave studies after middle school due to financial constraints.

China’s schooling is in four stages

Education in India is on 10+2+3 pattern. Whereas in China there are only four stages of schooling. First is pre-school, then second is primary school, where children have to study for a year. Then there is a system of junior secondary schooling for three years and then senior secondary schooling for the next three years. By the fourth stage, most of the students leave studies and start earning a living. Some percentage of students start studying again.

This is how China’s education system is different from India’s

In China, children’s education starts at the age of six and children start school at the age of six in grade one. This is part of primary education. Whereas in India, their education starts from two and a half years and three years. In China, after completing primary education, children have to attend junior secondary, which provides education from grade seven to grade nine.

After this, secondary education is imparted, in which education is imparted till class 10. Then post secondary education is provided, here schooling is till 14th grade. Whereas in India, school education is till class 12th. In China, after studying till 14th grade, one can study for Bachelor or Master degree.

Students have the right to decide for themselves

One thing in China’s education system is that after junior middle school, students have the right to decide for themselves whether they want to go to regular secondary middle school or vocational school or secondary professional school. They are free to pursue further studies.

Focus on vocational studies

Where in India the focus is on academic education. Whereas in China the focus is on vocational studies. Here students convert a skill into man power during their education itself. In vocational studies, students are taught how to work with machines and technology, the result of which is that Chinese students start thinking with a business mind during college itself.
