Housing Sales: Such a figure has come regarding the sale of houses in the country, which can prove to be big news for home buyers. Home sales in Delhi-NCR’s prime housing market Gurugram grew by 10 per cent during the January-March quarter. However, the demand for homes in Noida and Greater Noida has decreased by 23 per cent. Property consultant Anarock gave this information. According to market experts, sales in Gurugram have increased due to strong demand for luxury homes.
This figure brought about the sale of houses in Noida, Greater Noida
Anarock said the drop in home sales in Noida and Greater Noida was due to lack of new project launches, weak demand amid hike in loan rates and increase in property prices. Housing sales in Gurugram grew by 10 per cent to 9,750 units during January-March, according to Anarock data. A year ago, 8,850 properties were sold in the same period.
Sale of houses decreased in Delhi-Ghaziabad
However, 4,250 units were sold in Noida and Greater Noida during this period. This sales figure is 23 percent less than the 5,495 units in January-March 2022. In other Delhi-NCR markets like Delhi and Ghaziabad, home sales fell 30 per cent to 3,160 units from 4,490 units during the period under review. Overall, home sales in Delhi-NCR declined to 17,160 units in the last quarter. In the same quarter a year ago, this figure was 18,835 units.
what to say about anarock
Prashant Thakur, head of research at Anarock, said, “The reason for this decline is the limited earning of home buyers in the affordable segment, which has not yet reached the pre-Covid level.” He said that in the first quarter of this calendar year 2023, the demand for expensive and luxury homes in Gurugram has been strong.
