HUL Minimalist Deal: Soon the famous local brand of skincare in India will be owned by a multinational company. This skincare startup based in Jaipur is minimalist. Multinational company Hindustan Unilever has negotiated a deal worth Rs 3,000 crore to take over this Jaipur-based startup. Just three years ago, Minimalist had raised Rs 110 crore from the investment wing of Unilever.
The biggest bid from a direct to consumer company in recent years
Once the deal with Hindustan Unilever is finalized, it will be the biggest bid by a direct to consumer company in recent years, especially in the skincare industry. Minimalist sells its products directly to consumers. With this deal, the value of Minimalist will increase from Rs 630 crore to Rs 3000 crore in three years. Minimalist’s revenue is continuously increasing and its profit profile remains stable. The income of Minimalist was Rs 184 crore in 2024. Which will increase by 89 percent to Rs 350 crore in 2024. During this period the profit also increased from Rs 5 crore to Rs 11 crore. After this deal, Minimalist’s income is expected to increase 10 times. Whereas the revenue of other similar direct to consumer skincare companies is not more than 4.6 times. Credit for this can largely be given to the financial discipline of the minimalist.
HUL said – looking for new opportunities for growth
According to Money Control report, Hindustan Unilever spokesperson has said that they are exploring new opportunities for growth in the Indian market while staying within the ambit of the laws here. Everyone will answer when the time comes. Minimalist’s founder brothers Mohit Yadav and Rahul Yadav did not answer any question on money control. After the news of this deal spreads, there may be movement in the stock market, hence investors should keep an eye on HUL shares. Minimalist offers a wide range of products to keep the skin soft as well as enhance it. This includes liquids for Vitamin C and D, active hair growth and sunscreen products.
