Attack on INDIA alliance
Himanta Biswa Sarma said, ‘Hezbollah Chief Nasrallah was killed there and Mehbooba Mufti in Kashmir is saying that we will not campaign because we are saddened by the death of Nasrallah. Mehbooba Mufti, Farooq Abdullah and Rahul Gandhi, I want to ask all of them that when a Hindu dies or when terrorists kill Hindu soldiers, do you still feel sad? Please tell us this.
‘Mehbooba was silent on the death of Hindus’
BJP spokesperson and former Deputy CM of Jammu and Kashmir Kavinder Gupta has expressed objection over PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti’s sympathy for Hezbollah leader Nasrallah. He has termed it as an action promoting terrorism. Gupta said, ‘Why is Mehbooba Mufti feeling so much pain due to the death of Hezbollah Chief Nasrallah? People know the intention behind this. When Hindus were being killed in Bangladesh, he did not say a word. Mehbooba Mufti did not shed tears.
This reaction from BJP has come after Mehbooba Mufti’s post in which she has raised her voice in support of Nasrallah who was killed in the Israeli attack. Kavinder Gupta said on this post of Mehbooba Mufti, ‘Mehbooba Mufti’s tweet on the death of Hezbollah Chief Nasrallah that I will not campaign for a day, we stand with Lebanon and Palestine. It is a good thing to do but you do not stand with anyone in India. Hindus are killed in Bangladesh. She doesn’t say anything.
What did Mehbooba say?
PDP President Mehbooba Mufti has described Hezbollah leader Nasrallah killed in the Israeli attack as a martyr. Not only this, he has also refused to campaign in protest. Voting will be held in Jammu and Kashmir for the third and final phase on October 1. Expressing grief over Nasrallah’s death, PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti wrote on X – ‘I am canceling Sunday’s election tour in support of the martyrs of Lebanon and Gaza, especially Hassan Nasrallah. We stand with the people of Palestine and Lebanon in this moment of deep sorrow and rebellion.
