Heavy Rain: Except for some states of the country, there is relief from heavy rain in the rest of the states. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rain in sub-Himalayan Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, East Assam, Bihar, West Bengal, East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, North Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala in a day or two. Or Heavy Rain Alert has been issued in two places.
The Meteorological Department has also announced the withdrawal of monsoon. Southwest Monsoon may return in the first week of September. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is expected in Northeast India, Gangetic West Bengal, parts of Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Light rain is very likely at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, parts of Punjab, Haryana, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Marathwada, Konkan and Goa and one or two places over West Madhya Pradesh.
Delhi Weather
The maximum temperature in Delhi on Sunday was recorded at 35.2 degrees Celsius, 2 notches above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded up to 26.2 degree Celsius. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of light rain in Delhi for the next few days. Along with this, there is also a possibility of cloudy sky in the sky.
Rain in these states in the past
In the last days, heavy rain with light to moderate rain was recorded in Gangetic West Bengal, parts of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Northeast Madhya Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka. Light to moderate rains were observed over rest of Northeast India, Jharkhand, parts of Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
