Harry Brook becomes world number-1 batsman in Test, beats many legends in ICC all-time rankings

Harry Brook ICC Test Batting Rankings: England’s young batsman Harry Brook has created a sensation in the cricket world with his brilliant performance. Brook scored his eighth Test century in a massive 323-run win against New Zealand in Wellington. With this, he overtook his experienced teammate Joe Root and achieved the first position in the ICC Test batsmen’s rankings. Before the end of the year 2024, Harry Brook has secured the number 1 position in the ICC Test batting rankings with 898 points.

Overtook many legends in ICC all-time rankings
However, in the ICC all-time Test batting rankings, Harry Brook is at number 34 with 898 points. But he has defeated many giants. This includes legendary cricketers like Andy Flower 895 points, Steve Waugh 895 points, Rahul Dravid 892 points, Mahela Jayawardene 883 points, Greg Chappell 883 points.

Brook equaled Sachin
Harry Brook is at number 34 along with Sachin Tendulkar in the ICC all-time Test batting rankings. Both have 898 points. Harry Brook achieved these points against New Zealand on 10 December 2024. Sachin Tendulkar had scored 898 points against Zimbabwe on 25 February 2002.

Brooke is far away from Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli is at number 11 in ICC’s all-time Test batting rankings. Virat Kohli has 937 points in the all-time test batting ranking. Kohli had achieved these points against England on 22 August 2018.

Don Bradman is on top
Australian legend Don Bradman tops the ICC all-time Test batting rankings. His batting rating is 961 points. Bradman had achieved these points against India on 10 February 1948.
