Why does the scalp become oily?
Due to the oil production on the scalp, many people’s hair becomes oily. There can be many reasons for oily hair like-

2. Exercising more can also increase oil production.
3. Sometimes stress can also cause the scalp to become oily. Because it affects some hormones like cortisol.
What to do if the scalp is too oily?
If your scalp becomes very oily or scaly within a few hours of hairwashing, then you should avoid scratching it. Apart from this, shampoos containing ingredients like salicylic acid should be used. If you wash your hair many times due to oiliness, do not do so from now on. Because doing so can also damage the protective oil layer of your scalp.
Doctors recommend washing hair thrice a week to people with oily scalp. Do not apply conditioner on oily scalp. If you have to apply conditioner, then apply it on the length of the hair. Use shampoos containing salicylic acid and tea tree oil for oily hair. If there is aloe vera in the shampoo, it can help in reducing the oiliness of the scalp.
