Bijapur Journalist Murder Case: The accused of journalist Mukesh Chandrakar murder case have been arrested in Bijapur. The investigation revealed that the work of Chandrakar Brothers was being hampered by showing road news. Bastar IG Sundarraj P said that on January 1, the attackers had attacked Mukesh Chandrakar with iron rods on his head, chest, stomach and back. Mukesh Chandrakar died on the spot in the attack. The accused put the body in the septic tank and closed it with a slab lid. Police recovered the body of the journalist by breaking the septic tank with a JCB.
The intention of the accused was to dispose of the dead body. He told that an 11-member team was formed to arrest the accused. The Chief Minister, Home Minister and Director General of Police have ordered to present the charge sheet against the accused in the court as soon as possible. Along with local journalists, the people of Bijapur have also demanded death sentence for the killers. Ritesh Chandrakar, the main accused in the journalist murder case, was arrested from Delhi. The other two accused Dinesh Chandrakar and supervisor Mahendra Ramteke were caught from Bijapur.
Journalist murder case revealed after interrogation of accused
Before the murder, Mukesh Chandrakar was called to Suresh Chandrakar’s enclosure. Police have registered a case against the accused under different sections of BNSS. The police were continuously raiding to trace the accused. Bijapur police is busy interrogating the accused. Mukesh Chandrakar’s brother Yukesh Chandrakar demands that the accused be hanged. Journalist murder case has gained momentum in the state. Local people have also expressed deep displeasure. The demand for hanging the accused has intensified. According to Bastar IG, Mukesh Chandrakar was murdered in a planned manner.
