Government of Punjab: Children of Punjab will become skilled through Mission Samarth

Punjab Government: Children: The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is working diligently to improve the education system in the schools of Punjab. Under the able leadership of Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, the quality of education is being improved by modernizing schools in Punjab. Campaigns like ‘Mega PTM’ are creating good coordination between students, teachers and parents. Its positive effect is visible on the education of children.

This is Mission Samarth
With the aim of strengthening the foundation of education of children from 3rd to 8th class in government schools of Punjab, the Hon’ble Government has taken an initiative named ‘Mission Samarth’. The main objective of this campaign is to improve the numeracy and literacy skills of children from classes 3 to 8 studying in government schools of Punjab. Under this mission, children are being identified and given the necessary learning environment. For this, special teaching materials have been given to teachers in schools. Besides, they are also being prepared for additional coaching.

This is happening in Mission Samarth
Under Mission Samarth in Punjab, baseline tests are being conducted to identify children. Based on the test results, activities are being organized according to the intellectual level of the children. Workbooks and worksheets are being given to children in schools. In this they will have to do mission-oriented activities. Under this campaign, if any teacher is found to be in need of training, then he is being given training. The Punjab government has allocated a budget of Rs 10 crore in the current financial year for this campaign.
