Fake Note Seized in Gorakhpur: Gorakhpur Police has arrested five accused who were trying to print fake currency notes and circulate them in the market. These accused have been involved in this illegal business for the last one month. Police have recovered fake notes, laptop, printer and car worth more than one lakh rupees from them. Of these, four accused including the gang leader are residents of the same village. During interrogation, the police is finding out how many fake notes their gang has spent in the market so far.
When the police stopped a white Ertiga car coming towards Gorakhpur on the Varanasi-Gorakhpur road in Belipar police station area of Gorakhpur, the five suspects sitting in it started running away. After chasing the car, the police detained the five accused and examined the car and found 1027 fake notes of Rs 100 worth Rs 1 lakh 2 thousand 700 in it. Apart from this, a fake note of Rs 500 has also been recovered. When the police interrogated the accused, they told that they were planning to spend this note in crowded places. He has been involved in this business for the last one month. Police have also recovered laptop, printer and Ertiga car from the accused.
Five accused including gang leader arrested
The accused have been identified as Prashant Pandey son of Mahendra Pandey, Golu Kanojia son of Shambhu, Aman Vishwakarma son of Dinesh, Aditya Singh son of Prem Singh and Mustafa son of Akbar Ali of Durgabari of Kotwali police station area, residents of Bhowapaar, Belipar, Gorakhpur. Prashant Pandey is the leader of the gang printing fake notes. He had bought a laptop and printer and notes similar to the original were being printed. The business of printing fake notes and selling it in the market was being carried out from his house itself.
SP South Jitendra Kumar said that fake currency worth Rs 1 lakh 3 thousand has been recovered from a white colored Ertiga car under Belipar police station area. Which is in the form of Rs 100-100 notes. During their interrogation, it was revealed that their gang had been making fake currency and circulating it in Gorakhpur and surrounding markets for a month. On their notice, equipment for making fake currency, laptop, printer, paper and other construction materials have been recovered from the temporary house at Bhowapaar. On the basis of these recoveries, these five accused have been arrested. Advance legal action is being taken.
