Team India has started practicing for the competition. The Melbourne Test will start from Thursday, 26 December. According to Indian time, the match will start at 5 am. This will be the Boxing Day Test. Team India has not lost any test in Melbourne in the last 12 years. In such a situation, the fans are hoping that the Indian team maintains this record on the ground of Melbourne.
The third Test of the series was played at Gabba, Brisbane, which ended in a draw due to rain. Now Team India would like to keep the hopes of the World Test Championship final alive by winning the fourth Test of the series to be played in Melbourne.
Eyes will be on Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli
In the Melbourne Test, most of the fans’ eyes will be on experienced batsman Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma. King Kohli has scored one century so far in the series, but captain Rohit Sharma has looked a complete flop. Kohli had scored a century in the first Test of the series played in Perth, while Rohit Sharma was not a part of Team India in the Perth Test.
However, Virat Kohli also appeared to be a flop in the remaining two Tests played after Perth. In the Adelaide Test played after Perth, Virat Kohli scored 07 and 11 runs in both the innings respectively. After this, only 03 runs were scored from his bat in one innings of Gabba Test. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma has so far scored only 19 runs in 3 innings of two matches.
The series is tied at 1-1
Let us tell you that the series is still tied at 1-1. In the first Test played in Perth, Team India won by 295 runs. Then in the Pink Ball Test played in Adelaide, Australia won by 10 wickets and leveled the series 1-1. After this, the third Test played at Gabba ended in a draw.
