Former Subedar Major Nain Singh Deora Passed Away: Former Subedar Major Nainsingh Deora, resident of Viroli village of Sirohi district of Rajasthan, died on Friday last week. After his death, a large number of people continuously reached his residence and paid tribute. People remembered his service for the country.
Former Subedar Major Nainsingh Deora was awarded many medals for bravery in the Indian Army. Viroli village is known for brave men. Many people of the village have served their country.
Former Subedar Deora has shown bravery many times
During the war with India-Pakistan and China, former Subedar Major Nainsingh Deora had shown indomitable courage and bravery. For this, he was awarded more than a dozen medals by the Indian Army including Yudh Seva Medal 1962, Summer Seva Star 1965, Raksha Medal 1971, United Nations Forces Congo South Africa, Foreign Service Medal.
Elder son is working in the field of education
Deora’s elder son Bhagwat Singh Deora is serving in the field of education. Ranveer Singh, Surendra Singh and daughter Samandar Kanwar are also in state service. Deora served in the army from 1957 to 1989 i.e. for 32 years.
President gave special promotion
The then President Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy had given special promotion to Nainsingh Deora as Junior Commissioned Officer in view of his outstanding performance in shooting artillery mortar attack. He also led the Republic Day National Parade organized at Rajpath in the capital New Delhi in 1979.

Sainik Samiti’s Captain Narayan Singh Deora, Captain Ratan Singh Veerwada, Captain Magsingh Deora, MLA Samaram Garasia, Narpat Singh Ranaut, Gopsingh Deora President Awardee, Police Inspector, District Education Officer Sirohi, Zilla Parishad, Panchayat Samiti members including members of Sirohi, Jalore, Pali. Hundreds of people from Udaipur, Jodhpur and across the state reached Viroli to pay tribute to the late former Subedar Major Nainsingh Deora.
