The Anti Narcotic Task Force of Punjab Police has arrested former Congress MLA Satkar Kaur on charges of drug smuggling. The driver of the former MLA was also arrested. According to Punjab Police IG Sukhchain Singh Gill, a drug addict had told the police that a woman also forces him into smuggling.
The police sent that person posing as a customer and arrested the former MLA and the driver along with 100 grams of heroin near Kharar. Satkar Kaur has been MLA from Firozpur Rural from 2017 to 2022. During the search at the former MLA’s house, 28 grams of chitta was also recovered. 1.56 lakh cash has also been recovered in the search.
