Indian Railways Train delayed: Even though the direct effect of fog is not visible in Delhi, the movement of trains is being affected due to fog in the surrounding states. About 20 trains coming towards the capital from different parts of the country are running late. Usually, the effect of fog on train timings is seen from 15th December to 15th February, but this time it is happening earlier.
According to the Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway, despite there being no effect of fog in and around Delhi, there is dense fog in other open areas. Due to this the following trains are running late:
- Kashi Vishwanath Express: 241 minutes
- Shramjeevi Express: 214 minutes
- Kalindi Express: 179 minutes
- Avadh Assam Express: 139 minutes
- Hoshiarpur-Delhi: 122 minutes
- Purva Express: 92 minutes
- Shaan-e-Punjab: 68 minutes
- Vikramshila Express: 54 minutes
- Yoganagari Express: 45 minutes
- Srishakti Express: 41 minutes
Other trains like Prayagraj Express, Rewa Express, Sultanpur Anand Vihar Express, Suheldev Express are also running late by 30 to 150 minutes.

Railways has suggested the passengers to check the train schedule before leaving home so that any inconvenience can be avoided. Due to fog, Shan-e-Punjab train has been canceled between Amritsar and Ludhiana.
Impact likely to increase in coming days
Due to increasing effect of fog, the condition of trains may worsen in the coming days. Railways may cancel many more trains during this period. Passengers have been advised to use the official website and apps of Railways for updated information.
