‘First Babri, then Gyanvapi and now Jama Masjid’, what did Maulana Arshad Madani say on Sambhal violence?

Arshad Madani on Sambhal Violence: After the violence in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind President Maulana Arshad Madani has expressed deep concern over the increasing communal incidents in the country. Describing the Sambhal incident as part of a conspiracy against Muslims, Madani strongly condemned the changes in the Waqf law and the attacks on the rights of Muslims.

In the recent violence in Sambhal, there was heavy stone pelting, many vehicles were set on fire and many houses in the area were also damaged. Three people died in this incident, while many policemen were injured and are undergoing treatment.

Madani’s statement

Maulana Madani, reacting to this incident, said, “This is bad. First the incident of Babri Masjid, then the incident of Banaras and now this is the third issue of Jama Masjid. After 1947, there is a rule that mosques will remain as they were, yet sectarianism is increasing in this country. Efforts are being made to find ways to harm Muslims.”

Madani also expressed dissatisfaction over the proposed changes in the Waqf law, saying, “The new rules of the Waqf Bill are going to harm Muslims. Our rights are being snatched away and the government did not discuss this issue with any Maulana or Muslim organization. If the government had called representatives of institutions like Darul Uloom, a better solution could have been found.”

Advice to Nitish Kumar

Pointing at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Madani said, “Nitish Kumar should understand that the support of Muslims is also important in his politics. If he protects our rights, we will support him and if he takes steps against us. If so, we will have to look for other options.”

Maulana Madani said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind is a religious organization and not a political party. He said, “We are Indians, but the future of the country is in danger due to the increasing communalism and discriminatory politics in the country.” He also said that Prime Minister Modi hesitates to accept Waqf as a religious right, which is an attack on our rights.

An attempt was made to spread hatred in Jharkhand

Referring to the ‘Save Constitution Movement’, Madani said that his voice has reached the government and his organization will continue to fight for its rights. Objecting to political speeches and words like infiltrator during Jharkhand elections, Madani said that there was an attempt to spread hatred in Jharkhand.
