Khandwa Fire News MP: More than 30 people have got burnt due to a massive fire (Khandwa Fire) during the torchlight procession in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. This incident happened late Thursday night. The fire broke out causing a stampede. It is clearly visible in the video that people are running fast. Actually, people had gathered in a torch procession to pay tribute to the martyrs of 26/11.
People injured in the massive Khandwa fire incident were admitted to the district hospital for treatment. Police and district administration officials are present at the spot.
Khandwa SP Manoj Rai said that this accident happened during a tribute program. When the program was ending at the clock tower, while placing the torch, some of the torches turned upside down, due to which the sawdust and oil in it ignited the surrounding torches. Due to this, the people standing there in a circle got burnt.
Women and children were also among those burnt.
Women and children are also among those who got burnt in the fire. People’s faces and hands are burnt. 30 people have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. Of these, 12 people have been recruited. The rest have been sent home after first aid.
