Purvanchal Expressway: On Saturday (June 24) in Sultanpur, UP, three fighter jets were seen roaring on the airstrip of Purvanchal Expressway. Giving information, officials said that an emergency exercise was conducted by landing three Mirage fighter jets on the airstrip of Purvanchal Expressway. A day before this, complete preparations were made for the rehearsal. The air strip was already maintained so that there was no problem while landing the fighter jets on the expressway.
This Purvanchal Expressway from Lucknow to Ghazipur was inaugurated by PM Modi about a year and a half ago and not only this, PM Modi himself landed on this airstrip from Hercules aircraft of the army. After which now the repair work was done on this air strip. Due to the repair of the airstrip, traffic was completely stopped for 5 kilometers from mile stone 124.700 to 129.700 and the divider placed in the middle of the airstrip was removed.
Preparations were already done for the rehearsal
Due to the practice of Air Force planes, repair work was going on here since June 11, after which three fighter planes were landed on the airstrip as an emergency exercise here today. Not only this, in view of the program, 14 kilometer route on the expressway was also diverted. UPDA officials as well as DM SP of Sultanpur were all seen monitoring during this rehearsal. Along with this, due to the landing of fighter planes on the airstrip, elaborate arrangements were also made for the security.
Sultanpur’s DM Jasjit Kaur had already told about the preparations for the rehearsal that on June 24, Air Force aircraft would land and rehearse. He had also said that if the weather is bad then this program can be seen on 25th June. After which, due to the clear weather, this exercise was done on Saturday itself.
