Surat News: In a sensational murder in Surat, a man stabbed his wife and minor son to death and attacked and injured his parents. After this he cut his wrist to commit suicide. The accused has been identified as Samit Jiyani who is 35 years old. Samit was admitted to the hospital after the incident. Surat Police arrested him the very next day after his release from the hospital.
According to the report of Indian Express, police said that Samit had a fight with his wife regarding online business. Surat ACP VR Patel said that Samit was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday night and we recovered him on Wednesday morning, we are recreating the incident. We took him to his home. He had a fight with his wife the night before the murder.
Murdered wife and son while sleeping
The police officer said that the accused is being interrogated. Efforts are being made to get more information from him. Regarding Samit, Sarthana police of Surat said that he is a resident of Savarkundla in Amreli district. He first killed his wife Hiral (30) and son by slitting their throats. He was murdered while he was sleeping.
Attempted suicide in hospital
After killing both of them, Samit attacked his father Labhubhai (55) and mother Vilasben (53). This attack took place at 7 am on 27 December. Police have registered a case of murder and attempt to murder against Samit. Police have also received information that Samit had attempted suicide while admitted in the hospital. Samit had cut his throat with the window glass.
