Washington: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in America, where a father kept his 6-year-old son running on a tread mill for hours in an attempt to reduce obesity. Many times the child kept falling on the tread mill. Despite this, his father kept forcing him to run at the trade mill. His heart and liver were seriously injured after falling on the tread mill several times. Besides, the rate of breathing also remained uncontrolled. Later, due to this reason the child died tragically. According to the news of New York Times, the accused father used to force his son to run at the trade mill just because he was fat. When the mother showed the video of the incident in the court, she was heartbroken.

In the shocking incident, the child’s father, 31-year-old Christopher Gregor, is shown forcing his 6-year-old son Corey Micciolo to run on a treadmill. The accused father is a resident of New Jersey, America. In his obsession to keep his son fit, he used to force himself to run on the trade mill. Even if the child was tired, he would force himself on him. It can be seen in the video that even after the child slips and falls from the tread mill, the father is seen forcefully and misbehaving with him. When the hearing of the case started in the court to declare the father a murderer, everyone was stunned after seeing the video. The mother could not control her tears and started crying in the court room itself.

Father may get life imprisonment

The incident is said to be of the year 2021. The father was presented in the court on Tuesday for trial in this case. During this time, a video of the accused father was also played in the court room, in which he is forcing his son to run at the trade mill. He is seen forcing himself on a 6 year old innocent child. The video of this incident has also been shared on X by a person named Colin Rugg in America. According to legal experts, if found guilty in this incident, the accused father will have to face life imprisonment.

Superior Court saw the video of the incident

During the trial in Ocean City, Superior Court was shown surveillance video of Gregor being forced to run and falling several times due to the excessive speed of the tread mill machine. The father is also seen increasing the speed of the trade mill machine. The New York Times, citing video obtained by CourtTV.com, reported that Gregor and his son were seen entering the Atlantic Heights Clubhouse fitness center on March 20, 2021, where the boy was immediately placed on a treadmill and started running.

Child dies due to increase in speed of trade mill

According to the video of the incident, due to the increase in the speed of the tread mill, the child could not run at that speed. His legs were not able to withstand such a huge change in speed. So he kept stumbling and falling down from the trade mill. But his father picked him up and forced him to run again. He was forced to keep running at the tread mill, falling repeatedly, recovering, and becoming immeasurably exhausted. Once the child fell, father Gregor picked him up and threw him back onto the treadmill, causing the child’s legs to bend backwards as the father sank his teeth into Cory’s head. The boy then returns to running, but falls again and continues to struggle to stay on the machine, eventually causing the father to reduce both the speed and the incline.

The footage shows the boy suffering repeated plantings as father Gregor forces him to run on a very fast treadmill machine. Allegedly the father was also biting him on the head and from behind with his teeth, so that he could keep running. Ultimately he fell down and became unconscious. Immediately after the incident, baby Corey was taken to the doctor. He was stumbling in speaking. During the CT scan, baby Corey had a heart attack and died. The autopsy report said the child died from “blunt force injuries to the heart and liver with acute edema and sepsis” as a result of being run over and hit at the tread mill.
