Budhni News Today: After former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan went to Delhi, the farmers of his Budhni assembly constituency have joined the movement. Recently, two major movements of farmers have taken place within a week.
In which one movement of farmers was organized under the leadership of Congress and the other movement was organized through farmers organization. Now farmer organizations have met and decided that farmers will boycott the by-election to be held in Budhni assembly constituency.
By-election boycott announced
A meeting of the farmers’ organization was organized in the rest house located in the agricultural produce market complex located in Bhairunda. In this meeting, it was unanimously decided that the farmers along with their families will boycott the assembly by-elections to be held in the coming days.
Apart from this, as part of the state level programme, a huge torch rally will also be taken out in Bhairunda on 30th September. After the meeting, a memorandum was given to SDM Madan Singh Raghuvanshi under the leadership of Block President of ‘Kisan Swaraj Sangathan’ Bhagwan Singh Yaduvanshi. In which it was told that farmers are being forcefully given nano urea along with DAP.
Rally taken out with 2000 tractors
Earlier, a big rally was organized by farmers in Bhairunda of Budhni assembly constituency. About 2000 farmers took part in this rally with tractors. Under the guidance of the United Kisan Morcha and the leadership of the Kisan Swaraj Organization, the farmers took out a tractor march and demonstrated.
Farmers demand that the government should increase the MSP on soybean to Rs 6 thousand per quintal. Apart from this, there is a demand to increase the MSP on wheat to Rs 3000, paddy to Rs 3100 and maize to Rs 2500 per quintal.
Demonstrations have not taken place in 18 years
Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan was the MLA of Budhni Assembly since 2005. In the 2023 elections also, Shivraj Singh Chauhan won from Budhni Assembly by a record number of votes. There was no farmers’ movement in Budhni assembly constituency during the 18 years of Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s tenure.
However, now after Shivraj Singh Chouhan becoming the Union Minister, the farmers here are agitating. Farmers have demonstrated twice so far. Two days later, on 30th September, a torch rally will be taken out by the farmers. Now the farmers have also announced to boycott the by-election of Budhni Assembly.
