Chhattisgarh News: The Anti Corruption Bureau and central investigating agencies are investigating the liquor scam of more than Rs 2,000 crore that took place during the Congress government in Chhattisgarh. In this liquor scam, a scam worth thousands of crores was made by using duplicate holograms. Investigation revealed that the original hologram was also printed at the same GST building in Nava Raipur where the duplicate hologram was printed.
In Chhattisgarh, Prism Holography and Security Limited was given the work of printing holograms of liquor. After printing the hologram here, the hologram was sent to the dispensary, after which the hologram was pasted on the liquor bottles and the liquor was sent to government shops. Meanwhile, from 2019 to January 2023, a liquor scam worth thousands of crores was carried out by printing fake and fake holograms along with the real ones and pasting them in liquor bottles.
What is the whole matter?
For this, there were two counters in liquor shops, the money for the actual liquor was kept in one counter. Whereas the money for liquor sold through fake hologram was kept in another counter. Liquor shop employees were involved in this scam and daily accounts were taken from them after the shop was closed. The strings of this liquor scam were also linked to the then government.
During the proceedings, Central Investigation Agencies have arrested Excise Department Special Secretary AP Tripathi, former IAS Anil Tuteja, businessman Anwar Dhebar, who is currently in jail. If sources are to be believed, it was AP Tripathi who had asked Prism Holography and Security Company to print the fake hologram. Not only this, the fake hologram was delivered to the dispensary and was pasted on the liquor bottles which reached the shops. But after their sale, his money reached officials and politicians.
In such a situation, this scam gradually reached thousands of crores in four years. Let us tell you that in the investigation of Chhattisgarh ACB, EOW and Central Investigation Agencies, one more thing came to light that many big officials of the then government were involved in the liquor scam. Apart from this, liquor businessman Anwar Dhebar, brother of Raipur Mayor Ejaz Dhebar, also used to trade in fake liquor in Dhebar Bari located in Dhaneli. Here too, fake holograms were pasted on liquor bottles and many brands of liquor were packaged.
A few months ago, when the investigating agencies raided Anwar Dhebar’s Dhebar Bari in Dhaneli, they found duplicate holograms inside the ground. It is being told that when the investigation into the liquor scam started rapidly, fake holograms were hurriedly buried underground. After investigation, Dhebar Bari has been sealed at present.
