PM Modi Abu Dhabi Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Reached the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday (July 15) after ending his two-day visit to France. During this various aspects of bilateral relations were discussed between UAE President Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed and PM Modi.
After the bilateral meeting with Sheikh Khalid, PM Modi said that he was happy to come to Abu Dhabi and meet the President. He thanked him for the warm welcome and respect and said that ‘every Indian sees you as a true friend’.
PM Modi said, “We are taking new initiatives to strengthen our partnership. Today’s agreement on trade agreement in the currencies of both countries reflects our strong economic cooperation and trust.”
Exchange of MoUs
Earlier, in the presence of PM Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, officials of India and UAE exchanged several MoUs.
Discussing ways to further development
Apart from this, PM Modi met Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Designated President of COP28UAE and said that he had a very useful meeting with him. After the meeting, Modi tweeted, “Our discussions focused on ways to advance sustainable development. India’s contribution in this direction, especially our emphasis on Mission Life, was highlighted.”
At the same time, according to the Ministry of External Affairs, Dr. Jaber informed the PM about the upcoming COP-28. The PM assured full support for the UAE’s chairmanship of COP-28. The PM also highlighted India’s efforts and initiatives to address climate change.
