T20 World Cup 2024: West Indies and USA are going to co-host the T20 World Cup 2024. West Indies could not qualify for the T20 World Cup in 2022, but due to being the host in 2024, West Indies had directly qualified for the World Cup.
Rising fast bowling star Shamar Joseph has entered the West Indies T20 World Cup. He made his international debut in the Test series against Australia this year. Shimron Hetmyer has returned to the West Indies team, who was kept out of the T20 series against Australia in February. Kyle Mayers, who was seen playing in the series against Australia, has not been given a place in this team. Stormy batsmen like Romario Shepherd, Johnson Charles and Shay Hope have also got a place in this team. Let us tell you that West Indies has been T20 World Champion twice so far. He had captured the trophy in this tournament in 2012 and 2016.
West Indies have been placed in Group C in the T20 World Cup 2024. New Zealand, Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea and Uganda will also be included in this group. West Indies will start its campaign in the World Cup on June 2 with a match against Papua New Guinea.
