He has appealed to the people to stop donating to Wikipedia.
Elon Musk said – people with left ideology are controlling
In fact, Elon Musk has appealed in his post on social media platform X that Wikipedia is being controlled by people with left ideology (Far Left Activists). Therefore, we should not donate to this internet encyclopedia. While sharing a report by American news company Pirate Wires, he said that Hamas-oriented editors of Wikipedia have hijacked the Israel-Palestine narrative. The report says that about 40 Wikipedia editors are campaigning against Israel. They are supporting radical Islamist groups. Pirate Wires is considered a supporter of Donald Trump.
Delhi High Court had threatened to close Wikipedia
Recently Delhi High Court had also taken action against Wikipedia. The High Court had said that it had failed to tell who was editing the page of Asian News International (ANI). The court has taken contempt of court action against Wikipedia. The court had issued notice on 5 September. While hearing the appeal of ANI, the court had said that if Wikipedia does not like working in India then it should not work here. The court had also said that it would appeal to the Central Government to block this platform.
