The commission has said in the order that the video being played is in violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and is against the directions of the Election Commission. The Election Commission has taken this step at a time when the Aam Aadmi Party had filed a complaint in this regard in the Commission. It was said in the complaint that the statement is provocative.
AAP had also asked the Election Commission to order the Congress and other political parties to stop the telecast of such videos. Political parties have been asked to stop broadcasting this video on various social media platforms.
AAP leader Raghav Chadha had called such a statement on Kumar Vishwas in a press conference as propaganda. On Thursday, the Election Commission has asked to immediately stop its broadcast on social media and TV channels.
