Edible Oil Prices: Due to the rise in foreign markets, the prices of groundnut and soybean oil, cottonseed, CPO, palmolein oil have seen improvement in the Delhi oil-oilseeds market on Saturday. At the same time, due to increase in arrivals in the mandis of new mustard crop, the price of mustard oil oilseeds has also seen a decline.
Mustard oil prices soften
Traders said that the Chicago Exchange had closed one percent strong last night, while it was up 0.1 percent at the time of writing the news. Sources said that despite the rise in foreign markets, the arrival of new mustard crop in the mandis led to softening in the prices of mustard oil oilseeds.
Soybean and cottonseed oil will be cheaper in 15-20 days
In light oils, the price of mustard oil used to be 25-30 rupees more than soybean and cottonseed oil. After increasing arrival of the new crop, it is estimated to become cheaper by Rs 5-7 a kg in 15-20 days as compared to these light oils.
Groundnut oil also became cheaper
Let us tell you that along with reducing the import of edible oils, the government should emphasize on increasing oilseeds production to achieve self-reliance in the field of oilseeds as well.
