How to make Moong Dal Chilla
Now first of all take soaked moong dal and wash it thoroughly with water. It is a peeled lentil, hence after soaking the lentil for 4 to 5 hours, the lentil will swell and the peels will separate from the lentil. While washing with water, separate all the peels and lentils separately. After this, put the pulses in the mixer jar. Add very little water in the jar, at least 4 to 5 chopped green chillies, 4 to 5 cloves of garlic and then close the jar of the mixer and grind it again. When the lentils are ground, take them out in a vessel and beat them with hands for about 5 to 8 minutes. After this, add salt as per taste and a pinch of asafoetida to the dal and mix well. Now your dal is ready to make cheela.
Now keep the pan on low flame on the gas. For this you can take nonstick or any ordinary pan. Pour some refined oil on the pan and let it heat. Now take the dal mixture in a small bowl or a deep ladle and pour it in the middle of the pan and spread it gently. After this, pour a little oil around the cheela. When one side becomes light brown, turn the cheela with a spatula. Now cook this side also on low flame until it turns golden brown. When it gets cooked to light golden brown from both the sides, take out the cheela in a plate.
