The NCS said on its official Twitter handle, “An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 occurred at a depth of 150 km from the surface near Faizabad in Afghanistan.” According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), earlier on April 2 also from Faizabad in Afghanistan An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred 103 km east-southeast.The earthquake occurred at 4:33 pm on April 2. Its depth was 103 km.

According to the report of the news agency ANI, there was a stir in the area due to the earthquake that occurred on the morning of Monday, April 10. However, no loss of life has been reported. It is said that the area up to a distance of 71.34 km was shaken by the earthquake.

Earthquakes occur more in the Hindukush mountain range
According to geologists, Afghanistan comes in that zone of the earth, where seismic activities are more. Many earthquakes that have happened so far have proved to be very destructive here. Due to the earthquake in June 2022, more than 1 thousand people were killed here and about 1500 were injured. The Hindukush region here falls in the earthquake zone. When earthquakes occur there, its tremors are recorded till Indian cities.
