E-rickshaw driver stabbed with knives in Bhadohi, police busy searching for miscreants


Bhadohi News Today: In Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, an e-rickshaw driver was stabbed with knives in broad daylight by four unknown assailants for not paying goonda tax and tehbazaari money. The attackers ran away after looting the loan money and mobile phone kept with the e-rickshaw driver.

The e-rickshaw driver was seriously injured in this attack, who was immediately admitted to the hospital by the local people and family members. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police also reached the spot. After inspecting the spot, the police has started searching for the attackers. However, top police officials clearly refused to talk on camera in this regard.

The entire matter is near Gangapur Canal near National Inter College under Bhadohi Kotwali area. Where four unknown miscreants kidnapped the driver named Neeraj Gautam (18) at knife point for not paying goonda tax for driving an e-rickshaw on the road.

Goon attacked for not paying tax
The miscreants kidnapped the victim e-rickshaw driver, took him near the canal and attacked him brutally with a knife. Leaving the victim in a dying condition, the miscreants ran away brandishing knives and while leaving, they looted Rs 6,000 kept with the victim for paying the loan installment and his phone.

This incident, which happened in broad daylight, created chaos in the area. Injured e-rickshaw driver Neeraj Gautam told that four people started demanding recovery of Rs 10 in the name of goonda tax for driving the e-rickshaw on the road. The victim told that when he refused to give and protested, he was attacked with a knife.

Injured Neeraj told that he had kept money to pay the loan of e-rickshaw, the miscreants took away that money and mobile. Neeraj told that he is very poor, after his injury it will become difficult for the family to earn their livelihood.

‘Neeraj is not seriously injured’
Doctor VK Maurya of Maharaja Balwant Singh Hospital (MBS) said that a young man named Neeraj Gautam was taken to Bhadohi police and family members for first aid in an injured condition, who has been given proper treatment.

Doctor Maurya told that the young man was soaked in blood and there were knife marks on his body. Whose medical examination has been done and the report has been given to the police and the injured Neeraj did not have serious injuries. Therefore, he has been given first aid and sent home.

Case registered against four unknown people
Bhadohi Sadar Kotwali in-charge Ashwani Tripathi told on phone that the incident took place on the afternoon of 13 November. In this matter, on the complaint of family members, a case has been registered against unknown youth in Sadar Kotwali and further legal action is being taken. The in-charge SHO said that the condition of the injured youth is fine and the unknown assailants are being searched.
