Ravana, Kumbhkaran and Meghnath have also become smaller, but the budget for making them is increasing. Four years ago in 2018, the effigy of Ravana was 101 feet high. Then Rs 6.90 lakh was spent on it. In the year 2019, an effigy of the same height cost Rs 7 lakh. After two years, the fair did not happen due to Corona.

Now in the year 2022, due to the increase in the cost of raw materials, the Municipal Corporation is making effigies only 75 feet. For this an estimate of 7.12 lakh was made. Two firms put up tenders. Tender has been left in the name of Delhi firm for Rs 5.50 lakh. In such a situation, it has to be seen that what will be the quality of the effigies of Ravana Meghnath Kumbhakaran. Once before Ravana was not burnt properly. There was fire everywhere. Due to which the municipal corporation was tarnished.

Efforts are being made to woo firms
Preparations have been started for the National Dussehra Mela quota year 2022. There will be green fireworks at the opening and closing of Dussehra fair. For this, the Municipal Corporation had tendered Rs 6.08 lakh. No firm showed interest and the tender failed. Now the corporation has issued tenders again. At the same time, a tender of Rs 1.30 lakh was done for the layout and map print of shops and swings in the field. For this also no firm came. In such a situation, efforts are being made to woo the firms.

Kumbhakaran and Meghnath will be 50-50 feet
The National Dussehra Fair of Kota is famous all over the country. Every day 25 thousand to l lakh people reach to see the events happening here. On the day of Ravana Dahan, more than one lakh people come to Kota from the city and rural areas. This time the townspeople wanted to see Ravana being 101 feet, but the officials were making a 72 feet Ravana with a height of 5 years ago. The fair committee said that the height of the effigy should be increased somewhat in our board. Then it was decided to make 75 feet. Estimates of effigies of 75 feet Ravana, 50-50 feet of Meghnad and Kumbhakarna were made, increasing the rate by 10 percent per foot. Which was Rs 7.12 lakh. This time the enthusiasm about the National Dussehra fair is being seen more.
