Congress On EVM: Congress has suffered a big setback after the Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections. The party has been able to secure only 16 seats in Maharashtra. There was a review after the elections and now a big statement of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has come out. Kharge said that elections should be held on ballot paper and under this issue he will go across the country like Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Speaking at the party’s Constitution Day function at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi, Kharge said, “We do not want EVMs, we want ballot papers.” Kharge claimed that Adani had a big role in the Maharashtra elections. Modi has given him so much wealth that he is unable to digest it.
Attack on PM Modi regarding Constitution
Taking aim at the Prime Minister, Kharge said that some people praise the Constitution, salute it and show devotion to it, but deep inside they want to abolish the Constitution. Rahul Gandhi had also taken out ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ to save democracy and the Constitution. In this journey, the people of the country joined him and people from every section of the society came with him.
‘Manipulation is done through’
Regarding the elections, Congress leader and Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara alleged that EVM hacking has been done at select places in the state. Parameshwara says that the results were analyzed in depth by senior party leaders, after which they feel that EVMs have been rigged at many places. When Parmeshwar was asked why no issue related to EVMs came up in Jharkhand elections. In response to this he said that the manipulation is done in such a way that no one can raise questions.
There is no other way except mass movement’
Congress leader Nana Patole also said regarding EVMs, “No one is listening on this issue. We also went to the Supreme Court, they said prove it… This is why Congress feels that there is no other way other than mass movement on this issue.
