Delhi News: Police administration is on alert after the incident of fighting in Jamia Millia Islamia University. Paramilitary forces have been deployed on the spot. Top police officers are also on patrol. In view of the violence that took place yesterday, the Jamia administration had banned the Diwali celebrations of the students.
The police administration also did not lift the ban till 8:30 pm. The students continued to strongly protest against the ban throughout the day. Citing constitutional rights, permission was sought from the police to celebrate Diwali.
Students were allowed to celebrate Diwali for some time. The students lit lamps amid tight police security and surveillance. Celebrated Diwali by feeding each other laddus and also raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram.
Let us tell you that during the Diwali celebrations at Jamia Millia Islamia University, the tension between two groups turned into a fight. ABVP alleged that some students reached the program and raised slogans like ‘Palestine Zindabad’ and ‘Allah Hu Akbar’.

Let us tell you that a social organization named Rashtriya Kala Manch had organized ‘Jyotirmay 2024’. Music, rangoli competition and lamp lighting program was organized under Jyotirmay 2024. It is alleged that some people opposed the ceremony. Islamic slogans were raised during the protest. After some time, a fight broke out between two groups of students. Pictures of the fight quickly went viral. Eyewitnesses said that many people had come to the campus from outside. He tried to spoil the atmosphere.
However, after examining the video it will be known who are the ones disturbing the peace. During the conversation, the students alleged that he had lit the lamps. Some people extinguished the lamps by pouring water on them and also trampled the Rangoli with their feet. After that the fighting started. Another student tells that some people had come to the campus from outside. He spoiled the atmosphere. Therefore the matter should be investigated.
