Delhi Traffic Advisory: Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh will perform at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on 26th and 27th October at 7 pm. A huge crowd is expected at the singer’s show. In view of the huge crowd, Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory.
Spectators will be allowed to enter from gate numbers 2, 5, 6, 14 and 16 of Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Gates 1 and 15 have been reserved for emergency reasons. Parking arrangements have been made for those coming by car. According to Delhi Traffic Police, parking arrangements will be made at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Complex, CGO Scope Complex, Sunehri Pulla Bus Depot, Seva Nagar Bus Depot and Khush Nala. Heavy vehicles will not be able to ply on BP Marg from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium red light for two days.
Know the traffic police updates before leaving Delhi
Operation of heavy vehicles will be banned from 4 pm to 11 pm on 26 and 27 October 2024. Delhi Traffic Police has advised people to avoid BP Marg, Lodhi Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg and the roads around Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from 4 pm to 11 pm. According to the traffic police, emergency vehicles including police, ambulance and fire brigade will be exempted.
Use public transport to avoid jams
People have been advised to use public transport to avoid traffic jams and reduce congestion. Traffic rules will remain in force in view of the live music concert ‘Dil Luminati’. It is noteworthy that Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil Luminati India Tour will be held in 10 cities of the country. After 26-27 October in Delhi, Diljit’s next shows will be in Jaipur on 2 November, Hyderabad on 15 November, Ahmedabad on 17 November, Lucknow on 22 November and Guwahati on 29 December. The traffic police has made extensive arrangements around Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
