Digvijaya Singh on Soybean MSP: Former Chief Minister of the state Digvijay Singh has made serious allegations against the Mohan Yadav government regarding the purchase of soybean in Madhya Pradesh. He has said, “Despite the announcement by the government, the purchase of soybean is being delayed so that the business class can get benefits.” While giving clarification on the allegations made by Digvijay Singh on the government, the state president of BJP has said a big thing.
What allegations did Digvijay Singh make?
After two decades, Madhya Pradesh government is going to purchase soybean. The government has promised to give a minimum support price (MSP) of Rs 4890 for the purchase of soybean. According to the registration of all the farmers of the state, the government will buy 10 percent of the produce at the support price. For this, the government had earlier fixed the date from 25th October to 31st December, but due to some reason this date has been extended. Till now, no information has been issued by the state government regarding the purchase of soybean.
Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and Congress MP Digvijay Singh accused the BJP government of the state and said that soybean is coming in huge quantities in the mandis, which is being bought by traders. Traders are purchasing soybean from farmers at lower prices, which will later be sold to the government at support price. In such a situation, the farming class will not suffer anything except huge losses. Digvijay Singh further said that farmers will have to suffer financial losses due to the collusion of the government and traders.
BJP state president targeted Congress
Refuting the allegations made by Digvijay Singh on the BJP government regarding the purchase of soybean, party state president Vishnu Dutt Sharma said, “If anyone becomes a middleman between the government and the farmer, then it is certain that he will go to jail. Madhya Pradesh government will work with transparency. Digvijay Singh should know that the BJP government always fulfills all its promises. The Congress government had promised to waive off loans of up to Rs 2 lakh, which was not fulfilled.
