Both daughters are married. On November 3, the woman got a call from the telecom department.
The caller posing as an employee informed the woman about the misuse of Aadhaar number. He told that a person named Mohammad Islam has opened 311 bank account. You will have to come to Mumbai. After this the caller asked to transfer the call to Mumbai Crime Branch.
In the video calling, another young man wearing police uniform was seen. The woman was told that she would have to remain connected to the call 24 hours until the investigation was completed. The young man wearing uniform asked many personal questions to the woman. A letter was sent to the woman stating that it was a case related to money laundering.

The letter had the seal of Reserve Bank of India. It was written in it that you cannot leave the country until the investigation is completed. They were also asked not to share the case with anyone. The woman got scared due to the threat of fraudsters. The next day the demand for money to settle the matter started. For the first time a demand of Rs 31 lakh was made.
The woman went to the bank and transferred Rs 31 lakh through RTGS. Again the fraudsters asked for Rs 20 lakh. After transferring the money, the thugs also asked for the third installment from the woman. The woman transferred the money to the account given by the fraudsters. In total, cyber thugs defrauded the woman of Rs 58 lakh. Police have started investigation into the cyber fraud case.
