Dheeraj Kumar Singh, who studied medicine after 12th, has been very good in studies. He completed his MD after doing MBBS from Banaras Hindu University.
Talking about the family of Dheeraj Kumar Singh, his father used to work in another city and his mother used to live in the village. Dheeraj used to study in Varanasi but his mother’s health was not good. Due to which he often had to go to the village to take care of his mother. Many times he had to go to the village every week, due to which his MD’s studies were greatly affected.
For this reason, Dheeraj wanted to transfer his father to his hometown. But despite being a doctor, when the officials did not listen to him, Dheeraj felt very bad and decided to go to the civil services. After completing his MD degree, Dheeraj decided to leave the job of about 5 lakhs per month and go to civil services. With this, he started preparing for the Civil Services Exam.
hard work paid off
His decision was strongly opposed by his family members and his friends. His parents used to say that after studying so much and getting such a good job, why should he leave medicine. Dheeraj’s friends also explained him a lot and advised him not to leave the job. But Dheeraj stood by his decision and continued to make his preparations.
Dheeraj Kumar Singh, during his preparation, decided that if he did not pass the UPSC exam in the first place, then he would return to his old job. But luck also supported Dheeraj’s decision and his hard work paid off and Dheeraj became an IAS officer in the very first attempt by securing 64th rank in 2019.
