The dates for the assembly elections in Jharkhand are expected to be announced soon. In such a situation, all the political parties are taking opinion polls for the selection of their candidates assembly wise. In this connection, a meeting was organised at the BJP office to take opinion polls for the Dhanbad assembly candidates.
Voting was to be done by party members in this meeting. Meanwhile, some supporters of the current MLA Raj Singha who were not party members were allegedly stopped from entering. During this, it was claimed that some people had entered here with the intention of diverting the workers by using money power.
Supporters of MLA Raj Singha and LB Singh got into a fight over this issue. The argument started with a verbal spat and escalated to pushing and shoving. The dispute escalated in no time. During this, BJP state unit in-charge Kislay Tiwari, who was present there, intervened and pacified the matter.
Actually, a meeting was organised in the district party office to seek opinion for the BJP candidate in the Dhanbad assembly elections. LB Singh reached the BJP office as a contender for the ticket. LB Singh is a coal businessman by profession and is the owner of AT Devprabha Outsourcing.
LB Singh reached the party office with his personal bodyguards and gunmen and with folded hands requested everyone present to vote in his support. Meanwhile, a debate started between the supporters of BJP MLA Raj Sinha and the supporters of LB Singh, who was claiming the ticket.
This debate which started on a minor issue turned into a scuffle. There was a ruckus between the two groups for a long time. During the program, the commotion increased and the situation went out of control. A heated debate and mutual differences emerged between the party workers and the local leaders.
Due to which there was chaos in the premises of the BJP office. People gathered there out of curiosity seeing the ruckus at the BJP office. The matter calmed down after the intervention of senior party leaders. Supporters of BJP MLA Raj Sinha from Dhanbad claimed that supporters of some contenders are diverting workers by giving money outside the party office, who are not party officials and have reached to vote.
When they protested, they were beaten up and threatened. Raja Sinha has been elected MLA from Dhanbad constituency twice on BJP ticket. Before the assembly elections, BJP has decided to conduct opinion poll for the selection of candidates in the entire state.
In the same sequence, opinion poll was conducted for candidate selection in Dhanbad assembly today. There was a lot of ruckus on this occasion. During this ruckus, another contender for the ticket, LB Singh was also present. He said that he is a BJP worker and wants to contest the election from Dhanbad on a BJP ticket. Therefore, he urged the people to take opinion poll and choose their best candidate.
Let us tell you, there was an IT raid at LB Singh’s place in the year 2011, in which the Income Tax team recovered Rs 100 crore in cash.
