Maha Kumbh 2025 News: Uttar Pradesh DGP Prashant Kumar held a meeting with officials through video conferencing regarding Mahakumbh 2025. During this meeting, DGP Prashant Kumar expressed his displeasure over the police officers and personnel not leaving for the fair duty. DGP Prashant Kumar directed to run a comprehensive checking campaign in coordination with Sashastra Seema Bal on the Nepal border regarding Mahakumbh.
The DGP gave instructions for 24-hour comprehensive checking of every person coming and going by installing barriers. He said that there should be special surveillance on all the check posts in Prayagraj and its border districts. DGP Prashant Kumar directed to increase special monitoring on social media and internet media and to take immediate action against fake rumors and news and refute them.
DGP asked security agencies to exercise special vigilance due to fear of terrorist conspiracy in Mahakumbh. DGP directed for comprehensive checking of all hotels, dhabas, restaurants, railway stations, bus stands and crowded places in Prayagraj and surrounding districts.

Regarding the security of Mahakumbh, DGP asked the officials to do continuous checking with dog squad and bomb disposal squad. He said that all the vendors should be verified. All security arrangements should be completed in coordination with other departments; black spots should be identified and monitored in all districts for the safety of railway tracks.

DGP expressed displeasure during the review of Operation Trinetra. Expressed displeasure over delay in installation of CCTV cameras and directed to install CCTV cameras in large numbers at all main intersections and places. Along with this, instructions were given to connect all the CCTV cameras to the police control room.
