Dev Uthani Ekadashi 2024: After four months of Yoga Nidra, Lord Shri Hari Vishnu will wake up on 12th November. Along with this, the pause on auspicious works for four months will also be lifted. There will be auspicious times for marriage for 19 days in November and December. After this, Kharmas will begin and all auspicious works will remain closed till Makar Sankranti.

Astrologer Dr. Anish Vyas, Director of Pal Balaji Astrology Institute, Jaipur-Jodhpur, said that Devuthani Ekadashi coming in the month of Kartik will again hear the echo of Shehnai of marriage. With this, the period of marriage and auspicious work will start again. This time there will be celebration of marriage for 9 days in November and 10 days in December. It is noteworthy that after Devuthani Ekadashi, auspicious works will start after a break of about 123 days. According to the Hindu calendar, this year the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month will start at 6:46 pm on November 11. At the same time, this date will end the next day i.e. on 12th November at 4:14 pm. In such a situation, keeping in view the Udayatithi, this year the fast of Devuthani Ekadashi will be observed on 12th November only.

Astrologer Dr. Anish Vyas told that the auspicious time for marriage starts from Devuthani Ekadashi, because on this day Lord Vishnu awakens from his four months of yoga sleep. It is also called the festival of Dev Jagran and auspicious works like marriage start from this day onwards on many auspicious dates to come.

This year Devuthani Ekadashi is on 12th November and with this the wedding season will start in full swing. There are many important dates in November and December this year, which are considered especially auspicious for marriage. The festival of Devuthani Ekadashi will be celebrated on 12th November and on this day the auspicious works will begin with the marriage of Tulsi-Shaligram. Due to the rest of Lord Vishnu for four months, activities like marriage were prohibited. Marriage Muhurtas will start from 12th November, but Kharmas will start from 16th December, which will continue till 15th January 2025.

The festival of Devuthani Ekadashi will be on 12th November. On this day, gods will be raised in homes. Lagna Muhurta will be more in the first fortnight of November and December. After this, Kharmas will start from 16th December with the entry of Sun into Sagittarius, which will last till Makar Sankranti on 15th January 2025. During this period there will be a pause on auspicious works. Kharmas will end with the entry of Sun into Capricorn on January 15 and the Lagna Muhurta will begin again.

There will be four days of special dates (Shubh Tithi).
After 22nd and 23rd November, the dates of 9th and 10th December are considered especially auspicious. During this period, best auspicious times for marriage will be available throughout the day and night, making it an ideal time. On 14th December, only day time is favorable for marriage, because Kharmas will start after evening, due to which auspicious activities are banned.
