CM Kejriwal on Ramadan 2023: The holy month of Ramadan is going to start from 24 March. With the sighting of the moon on Thursday, the first fast will be observed on Friday. The month of Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It is called the month of worship of Pak and Allah. It is obligatory for every Muslim to keep fast in the month of Ramadan, although exemption has also been given in some special circumstances and the fast can be completed later. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has congratulated on this occasion. CM Kejriwal congratulated by tweeting.
CM Kejriwal tweeted, “Many congratulations to all of you on Ramadan. May this holy month of worship bring lots of happiness and progress in your lives.” Please tell that there is not only fasting in Rosa, but maximum time is spent in worship during this and the heart, mind and body are all kept pure.
Taraweeh prayer is also offered
After the sighting of the moon of Ramadan, the holy month begins from the next day. For the next 30 days, the people of the Muslim community do not eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset. Also spend more and more time in the worship of Allah. In the evening, special prayers are offered in the mosques, which are called ‘Tarahavi’. The entire Quran is recited in this prayer. This process continues till the moon of Eid is sighted.
The moon was not visible on March 22
Earlier, Naib Imam of Jama Masjid Syed Shaban Bukhari had said in a statement, “The moon of Ramadan Mubarak has not been sighted in any part of the country on March 22, so the month of Ramadan will start from Friday.” Maulana Mufti Mukarram Ahmed, Shahi Imam of Fatehpuri Masjid located in Chowk, said that there was no news of sighting of the moon of Ramadan from any part of the country including Delhi, so it is announced that the first Roza will be on March 24 i.e. Friday. It is of 29 or 30 days.The number of days in a month depends on the sighting of the moon.
